The Arlington TX Divorce Attorney I *Should* Have Hired

When you jump into divorce proceedings, you may not realize that you're practically jumping into a new rebound relationship with a divorce attorney. That link goes to the divorce lawyer I should have hired, and I may switch horses midstream). Because I certainly didn't realize, and I never anticipated how complicated and drawn out this divorce process would be.

Because my divorce attorney is a joke, and as Randy continues to see me--his ex wife--as his "girl on the side" he also continues his long-standing tradition of living up to his end of the bargain: child support.

A good divorce attorney, as I have grown to understand, treats you like a friend and protects your rights as a parent. Your relationship with a divorce attorney should be built on ground that can last for as long as your divorce he helps you secure.

Hindsight. It's 20/20.

Men, they suck.  And sometimes they suck things that their wives would certainly not approve of.  I divorced Randy after I caught him cheating on me with his best friend.

Don't get me wrong, Randy and I had a lot of gay friends, and still do.  The problem was that, well, he was my husband and didn't seem to understand what that meant.  We'd been open about our bisexuality for a long time, only recently am I beginning to realize that perhaps Randy wasn't bisexual after all.

Perhaps his cheating on me--his wife, the mother of his children--means he wasn't interested in me anymore?  Or maybe it's not just me, maybe he's not interested in women.  I keep waiting for the day his Facebook status flips over to the "other side."

This blog is about moving on after a very strange divorce, and the custody dispute that continues to this day (a few years after the fact).  It should be a helluva ride.
